Chapel
The chapel theme
for the 2007-08 school year is: The Beatitudes. Each month
will highlight one of Jesus' Beatitudes from the Sermon on the
Mount (Matt. 5:3-12). May chapel offerings will support
mission work in Tanzania.
Community
Service
Trinity Lutheran School is
committed to nurturing well-rounded citizens who are responsible
members of the community. In order to enhance this
education, students are engaged in various service projects
throughout the school year. Students in 3rd
through 5th grade visit Province Place of DePaul on a
monthly basis. Also, students create cards and letters for our
deployed military and church members who are homebound or in
nursing homes, help take care of our school grounds, and
straighten church pews for Sunday services.

Trinity’s Summer
Camp 2008 promises to be an exciting program with brand new
field trips, weekly cooking experiences, water fun, and more!
Your children will be well supervised by a quality staff in the
nurturing Christian atmosphere for which Trinity is known.
With the inclusion
of Extended Care fees this year, Trinity is offering a
special discount to those who register by May 31st.
Register early and the extended care fees will be as follows:
Before Care (6:30
a.m.-9:00 a.m.): $15.00/week; $8.00/week for additional
siblings
After Care (3:00
p.m.-6:00 p.m.): $15.00/week; $8.00/week for additional
siblings
Both Sessions:
$20.00/week; $10.00/week for additional siblings
PTLS Spring
Fair
It is that time
of the year again. Trinity's PTLS will hold its annual
spring fair on May 17th on the lawn from 10:00 a.m.
until 2:00 p.m. Come out and enjoy great food, music,
games, and inflatable amusements for the kids while supporting
the PTLS. This event always proves to be a great time
for all ages. Come out and join us for a good time and
bring a friend. This event is open to the public.
Extra-Curricular
Activities
Trinity is
excited to offer some new after-school activities for our
students this year! You may sign your child up for any of the after-school activities at any time by contacting the
school office.
After school, all students will be escorted to
their activities by TLS staff members. You may
pick your child up at the end of each activity in Belvedere
Hall. Those students who are enrolled in Extended Care
will be escorted by a staff member to the Extended Care area.
The list and meeting times of current after-school activities
is as follows:
Spanish Club meets on Mondays from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00
p.m.
Gymstrada meets on Tuesdays from 2:40 p.m. until
3:35 p.m. in Belvedere Hall.
Registration for Gymstrada is done on a monthly basis.
Walking Club meets every Wednesday in Belvedere Hall
from 3:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Students,
parents, and teachers walk 1-2 miles in the surrounding
neighborhood.
Abrakadoodle Art meets on Thursdays
- for PK
students from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- for K-grade 5 students from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
