Have you ever thought about how you grow in faith? Your faith is just like a plant, if it’s going to grow it needs water and light. The water and light you need to grow your faith is found when you open the Bible and read, mark, learn and inwardly digest the Words of God.
Trinity’s Sunday School proclaims the Gospel every Sunday to children and parents – from toddlers through high school – by reaching out to this new generation of families and children with new approaches. Half of our children have come into the church and Sunday School through Trinity Lutheran School and the additional events generated by the school bring even more involvement and fun for our Sunday School families.
Our Sunday School is open year-round and has lots of parental support – it’s become sort of a “family worship.” We are always finding new ways to present the Word to the children of this new generation.
We have always used Concordia Publishing House Sunday School materials in the Main Dept. of the Sunday School as well as materials from online. We lift up events of the church calendar and also use news events, newspaper articles, secular holidays and child behavior to make modern day application to the Scripture. Music is also a big part of our program.
The Youth Class also uses materials from Concordia Publishing House...the last few years they have been using the Real Deal Series – which takes current issues and relates them Biblically with LCMS doctrine – as well as devotional books and Bible Trivia games.
Trinity Sunday School excels in having events and activities for children.
Reformation Celebration – You are invited to attend Trinity’s Reformation Service where the children sing followed by a potluck lunch.
Chrismon Event – The S.S. sponsors the Chrismon Event on the front lawn of the church where children put their specially decorated crosses and hearts on the huge Chrismon Tree.
Christmas Pageant – All departments of the S.S. come together for our traditional Christmas Pageant. We have a treasure trove of costumes made over the years which children enjoy.
Lenten Pancake Supper – This Lenten event sponsored by the church usually benefits one of the church's outreach programs.
Palm Sunday March/Singing in Church – Children participate in the palm march and sing on the chancel steps.
Easter Egg Hunt – All departments of the S.S. come together for our traditional Easter Egg Hunt.
Vacation Bible School – Offered during our Sunday School hour in June. July, August
Come join us as we grow together in God’s Word!
Wednesday Evenings at 6:30 pm in the Welcome Center, Lutheran Confessions, led by Pastor Meraz. Nothing is more important than clearly confessing and bearing witness to the truths of God's Word, which reveals the glorious Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That is what the Book of Concord is all about. This edition of the Lutheran Confessions will instruct, inspire, and educate all who use it and help them learn what it means to be, and to remain, a genuinely confessing Lutheran Christian.
Concordia: The Lutheran Confessions is a remarkable achievement in Lutheran publishing. Find helpful introductions, insightful notes and annotations, and new tools and guides to aid your reading and comprehension. Encounter the dramatic history and heroic persons associated with the various documents in the Lutheran Confessions.
The Book of Concord is the authoritative collection of the Lutheran Church’s statements of faith. It contains documents which Lutheran Christians have used since the sixteenth century to explain, defend, and advance their witness to the truth of God’s Word.
Men’s Bible Study meets 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 7 pm at the home of Richard Ball; we are currently studying The Lutheran Difference: Law and Gospel. Interpretation. Legalism. Freedom. Life application. So many options. As you interact with other Christians, you may struggle to explain the beliefs and practices of the Lutheran faith. Many Lutherans have learned the “what” of Lutheran doctrines. Do you understand the “why”? Based on God’s Word, as faithfully reflected in the Lutheran Confessions, this study helps you to live and to share what you believe with confidence. The Lutheran Difference series compares sound Lutheran doctrine with belief systems from other denominations. Insightful questions guide you through Scripture, helping you apply it to your life. If you are a Lutheran, these studies prepare you to share your faith. If you are not a Lutheran, they help you understand the Lutheran difference. Join us as we explore God’s Word — the Law and Gospel in our lives!
Meeting every Thursday morning at 11:30 am and the third Saturday of the month at 10:00 am.
